With a growing toddler, I am always in the lookout for food with valuable health benefits, like State Fair Corn Dogs which is a good source of protein. I have been buying these corn dogs for years and now, I get a chance to share my experience with the product with you guys. This is a sponsored post via Mom It Forward, but don't worry, every thing I'm going to share with you will be based on my honest opinion.
First of all, I'd like to tell you where I got my State Fair Corn Dogs. Want to guess? Safeway, where else? I have been a member of Safeway for awhile but I never knew they offer discounts and promotions online. They call this collection of coupons, personalized deals and club specials "j4u" short for "just for u". It's quite handy I believe, and they also have an app for it. Check it out from the AppStore or GooglePlay. Accessing "j4u" deals via desktop or your phone is very easy. Just add the coupons you want in your card and it'll automatically apply upon check out. I used it when I bought my corn dogs. Here's the link to where you can get j4u coupons for Hillshire Brands specifically Hillshire Farm, Jimmy Dean, Ball Park and of course, State Fair. Remember that you need to create an account first before getting access to these specials deals, so what are you waiting for? Right now, you can Save $1.00 on any purchase of State Fair Corn Dogs. Click the photo below and start saving!
Before I forget, you can also find valuable coupons of other Hillshire Brands products there so grab them while you can.
Back to the corn dog! ;) As I told you earlier, I've been eating these corn dogs for years and now I get another person to share it with - my daughter! I always have snacks prepared for her, and the whole family of course, in case hunger attacks! I tell you, a few minutes after lunch and she'll say "Mommy, I'm hungry, I want to eat!". Like seriously? I can't believe it! How can a little stomach hold so much food? LOL!
And this is how my 3-year old eats her corn dog... with pancake syrup! I guess she got the sweet tooth from me. Most of the time though, I prefer to eat mine as it is. I love the taste of the sweet and tender juicy hotdog. I think I eat either the corn bread or the hot dog on its own. Sometimes though, I like trying and adding something to the food I eat. With my corn dog, I decided topping it off with not just one, but seven other condiments ~ maple syrup, ketchup, cheese, strawberry jam, honey, mustard and mayonnaise. I prepared three sets of these so my husband and mom can also try it and see for themselves. Well, my favorite is honey, told you I got sweet tooth. That's even besides the fact that these classic corn dogs are already made with honey! Ha! My husband on the other hand, loves it with mustard. I don't know, he's got weird taste. And my mom loved it with cheese! I guess each of us have different palates. It really depends on what kind of food the person likes. Good thing I didn't put hot sauce in one of them, but who knows, someone might like it. How about you, do you top your corn dogs with anything?
How about you, what foods high in protein do you eat? Also, how do you eat your corn dogs? Please don't tell me with your mouth open. Haha!
