Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil Review and Giveaway

Have you ever tried an organic approach to preparing your meals? I have when I was introduced to Tropical Traditions!

When I received the Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, I told myself if I will be able to use it. It was like frozen oil and I was like, is this the coconut oil for the hair? Oh well, good thing my husband knows a lot about cooking better than I do.

He was actually the first one to try it without me knowing. He tried it with an appetizer - fried asparagus. He was so amazed he woke me up to tell me to take a look at it. First, it didn't smell like coconut, not a hint. Then he asked me to look at the frying pan, it was so shiny. Well, usually when we use it with other oil, the oil turns dark and so as the pan or the food stick to it. With this coconut oil, it was totally different. As you can see, the pan looked like it came from the dishwasher even with food on it. Lastly, it tasted so much better! It was more flavorful! I honestly didn't expect anything at all, I thought it will be just like the other.

I have been using it in preparing meals since then, even with soup. I feel better knowing I'm using something organic, I firmly believe they are always healthier.

  13. I use it to make some of the desserts they have on Tropical Traditions. Like brownies, or the butter bar recipe and also in some flourless banana bread, it's really good.
