I am a stay-at-home mom and in my circle of SAHM friends, I am probably the least who care about my looks. Until recently, I noticed that my 4-year old is starting to imitate my habits - not combing her hair, putting only lipbalm/gloss on her face, definitely no nail polish, etc. Then one time, she asked me if we can take a selfie, and when I smiled she blurted out, "Mommy, why are your teeth yellow?". I was not able to respond instantaneously and just told her that's what happen when you don't brush your teeth. Pardon me, I do brush my teeth regularly but I used to eat food and drinks (iced tea is the main culprit) that caused stains on my enamel and it's going to be hard to explain that to a 4-year old. I just don't want her to think that the reason behind my stained teeth is because I do not brush my teeth! That is definitely a shame!
I really thought the yellowing was normal. I guess it doesn't apply now-a-days due the the technological advances in dental procedures. So, during my last visit to the dentist, I discussed my desire to have a whiter teeth. My dentist told me we can start it after I give birth. I already gave birth and my next appointment will be this October. I guess I'll be changing my mind and cancel that plan. Why? Because I got a sample of this Crest 3D White Brilliance and it works with me! The only issue I have is it doesn't work well with my sensitive teeth (I have a cracked tooth which needs to be fixed first).
So, I used this for three (3) consecutive days and I didn't drink colored liquids but water, I guess that helped. And I myself noticed a difference. I was so happy when I looked at the mirror. Finally, my daughter stopped mentioning my yellow teeth. :D This toothpaste, as popularized with the hashtag #PowerCouple, works a bit different with the regular toothpaste. Obviously because you need to use two tubes in one session.
Step 1 - Deep Cleansing Toothpaste. You use the regular toothpaste amount and then brush your teeth for a minute. Do not rinse, do not gargle water. There is no refreshing taste but at first, I thought it was like my dentist's toothpaste. That made me think it really works like a professional.
Step 2 - Whitening Gel. This is for the whitening finish. It tastes and possibly works like my daughter's fluoride. Put ample amount and brush for another minute, then rinse.
Two tubes, two minutes, two times a day.
There you goes my review, if you are interested to learn more about the product, you can visit their website here.
'Til then! I'm off to brush my teeth with my toddler! Don't worry she's got her own toothpaste. :P
