Sticky Suction Car Mount Review

Have you ever experienced driving with GPS and suddenly it just falls down? Well, I have, not just once but twice. The other one even happened during a 4-hour out-of-state trip. It was crazy having to pick it up every now and then. Good thing my husband was driving and I was in the passenger seat so I can do it, else, he'll be in a terrible situation. It was also not easy because at some point, I needed to hold it for him just so we can arrive at our destination quickly. And to share, I had a hard time looking for a replacement - to find something that works and is within my budget is time-consuming. I guess I will never be in that position again because of the Sticky Suction Car Mount!

Before I discuss the features I love about this car mount, let me tell you when/where I've used it so far:
1) When cooking, I almost bought a gadget holder just so I can easily browse and look at recipes online. Now, I think this will be one of the new additions to my kitchen tools! Makes it easy for me to move and look at the recipe when my phone is attached to this sticky suction.
2) When driving, need I say more? Some car mounts just don't do their job, this one does!

3) When watching, not only for me but for my daughter who likes to watch PBS Kids. ;) I know how hard it can be holding your phone for hours. This product make it easy for us to watch from our phones, stick and sit!
Quite useful, right? And now, the features I love about Sticky Suction Car Mount by iGotTech:
1) I can rotate it from left to right or up and down.
I found this helpful when driving due to the brightness caused by the sun. Sometimes you can get caught by the sun's rays and you won't see anything on the GPS, like there was a blackout. When it starts to look gray, you can rotate it to another position where you won't have a hard time looking at it. Just don't forget to pull over to avoid accidents.

 2) I can use just about any gadget with it.
Unlike the car mounts, that are often times included when you purchase the GPS, and is only brand or model specific, this Sticky Suction Car Mount works well on almost any devices. I have tried using it with our current GPS, iPod, iPhone and even my mom's Samsung phone.

3) It's easy to clean!
I have like an OCD when it comes to dirt. Who wants it anyway? When dirt starts to accumulate, I wipe it immediately. Good thing with this car mount, I don't have to waste my daughter's wipe because I can just wash and let it dry and voila, it's clean again! How cool is that?
I used running warm-hot water.

4) If you think it's not 'sticking' anymore, as stated in the 3rd item, just wash it with water! This will help eliminate the dirt that's causing it not to stick. When the dirt is gone, it's going to work again. I know because I tried it. And by the way if it doesn't, the last item on my list will make you believe.
 Before and After
5) Stick or return.
They have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee that if you do not like the product, then you can return it. That's their policy, plain and simple, 'eh?

In case our current GPS car mount fails to do it's job, and it has happened twice, I won't be concerned because I know I can always count on my new car mount!

Amy's Cafe Down by the River

Overall Rating: 2.5/5
Budget: $10-12/person
Address: 103 W Cambridge St., Fredericksburg VA 22405

When we travelled to Virginia for the July 4th weekend, we tried to walk around the historic place but was not able to find a place where we wanted to eat. So, we decided to turn the GPS on towards home and just stop for lunch wherever. We haven't travelled more than 5 miles when we found a great-looking place standing nicely on the corner of a street. It was one of the restaurants I read in the brochure - one that we got from the visitor area. I also thought I saw some good ratings, but to my surprise... Mmm.. Just read my comments about the food.

Food
This tuna sandwich and soup was for me. I liked the tuna sandwich, it tastes like the regular one you'll find at deli shops. They have other kinds of bread and it's up to you if you want it toasted. I went for the plain and simple. The potato soup on the other hand, I thought needs more spices added to it. The taste was blunt, imagine eating a boiled potato with nothing added to it. There's a salty taste that you'll get from the meat. Without the meat, I wouldn't really try to finish the bowl. I enjoyed the bedeviled eggs and even took my daughter's (because she doesn't eat eggs).
This was my husband's, while the server was telling us some 'food of the day', he chose the chili con carne thing. He said he didn't really liked it but he had to finish it because he needed to eat. That side he said was supposed to be a blue cheese, he tried to taste it once and didn't finish because he said he didn't like the texture - like it was already chewed. Eww.
I can't say much about my daughter's Macaroni and Cheese but doesn't it look familiar? I would buy a box of Kraft Mac&Cheese in a heartbeat and it would be able to feed the three of us. As for the fries, it was so-so. I don't think anything was added to it at all. Some mayo and ketchup would be great, or even salt!
Cleanliness
I'd say there was no need for me to wipe the table and chairs. I also found no traces of leftovers on the table and even on the floor.

Kid-Friendliness
We ate outside and didn't need a high chair. I saw some toddlers sitting on one inside. It's good that they have a kids menu and I guess kids would be able to eat the ones on the regular menu too, just like the soup and sandwich I ordered.

Customer Service
Our server was friendly but I thought she doesn't visit us often so it took a few minutes for her to refill our drinks. It's a good thing it wasn't that hot outside and they have ceiling fans, but we were thirsty!

Complimentary Stuff
Free parking and additional parking in front of the restaurant.

So, having tried and tested dining at Amy's Cafe, are we going back? Sorry, but no. We paid approximately $30 for them including the drinks and taxes but not the tip. I thought it was expensive for the kind of food. I don't think it's worth it. I'd rather eat at a fastfood or foodcourt at the mall.

Chicken the Taste You Want It!

Overall Rating: 4/5
Budget: $13-$18/person
Where It's At: 7000 Arundel Mills Circle #229, Hanover, MD 21076 | 443-296-6415

Ever since my husband heard that there's also Nando's Peri-Peri in the US, he was very eager to visit and show me the place. His first was in Britain and he loved it. I saw a cousin in Ireland enjoying Nando's too so I guess it's kind of popular. Well, there's a couple here in Maryland I guess but we decided to visit the one within a mall so we can do other activities too.
Food
Several of our friends has been there, most liked it, the others don't. I personally liked it. Their chicken are flame-grilled including those they put in their sandwiches. You can buy them in whole, halves and quarters. You can tell them how 'hot' (spicy) you want it or add the sauce you like right after. You can pair your chicken with some sides like rice, fries, coleslaw and more.

The way you order food is as casual as it is: Fall in line, order your food, they'll give you a number then they will call the number once it's ready for you to pick-up. You refill the drinks yourself like and you just leave the utensils on the table when you're done.

Cleanliness
I found a few crumbs on the chair and a hint of dried sauce on the table, so... I guess it's not as clean. Good thing I always have a sanitizer with me so I can wipe the table and chairs as quickly as possible when dining out, it happens a lot!

Kid-Friendliness
They have highchairs and they provide a activity sheet with crayons too. I guess with the puzzle and all the fill in the blanks, the sheet can be enjoyed by kids up to 7 years old. Just kind of weird because I would have thought they'd put chicken or farm animals instead of sea creatures. LOL!
Customer Service
An employee approached and asked us if it was our first time, my husband told him not so she just seated us and handed us the menu. She looked approachable too.

Complimentary Stuff
Parking because it's within the mall.
The activity sheet with crayons for the kids as mentioned above.
Unlimited sauces, if dining in I guess. ;)
