Does the color of your watch bother you too?

I am a stay-at-home mom and I do not care much about how I look or what other people think of me (at least physically). I am not sure if it's just me but what I care about is how my husband looks. I think it's a reflection on how well I take care of him. Or how well he can take care of himself because I take care of the rest. You get what I mean? It's not that I do everything for him, because I don't. He has his own decisions, I just comment or make inputs even in simple things, like the way he dress.

Most of the time, I tell him what to wear and what would look good with his choice of clothes. I even buy him clothes myself.

Just a few months ago, he decided to get an Apple Watch. He really likes it because of the features so he use it everyday, even at work. Well, he got the sporty kind of watch I think because it's the most affordable. And the only color available that time is black. It suits him nicely and good thing black goes well with any color. But the thing is, it looks like a watch for weekend use. He wears business casual everyday!

That's the reason I thought of getting him a leather Apple Watch band and in another color. It came with a box perfect for gifting so I decided to give it to him as a surprise.  And guess what? He loved it!

As you'll notice, it's a bit shorter than the black which is the original wrist band but it fits him perfectly. It's a bit different in design, because there's like a silver ring that holds the watch and band together. I guess that's nice, at least it doesn't look boring. This brown color would sure look nice on his outfit because he has a lot of brown stuff too - pants and shoes! :P

And oh, I have to share I didn't know how easy it is to replace wrist bands, I guess it's because of the small tool that came with it. I guess this Boonix brand is very thoughtful!

Why You Should Always Keep Your Griller Clean

I love inviting close friends at home be it during holidays, birthdays or for no reason at all. I am not sure why but I love entertaining and chit-chatting with them. And if you know me you'll know what food I am going to serve. I love baking, but other than that I love grilling too! Grilling for me means having good time with friends, outside the house, enjoying good food and more! That's one reason I bought a new a week after buying our house. I always thought that grillers, especially the outdoor ones are only for summer. I guess not.

As of the moment, Winter Storm Jonas is burying East Coast on 20+ inches of snow. I heard no reported casualties but I know there's a possibility of power outage. Yes, power outage! I guess anyone would be afraid of it! First, you don't want to freeze inside your home, and next you definitely don't want to starve!

That's why for those of you, who unfortunately have electric stoves, it can be very frustrating. And this is where I found our griller useful! So, before the storm came, my husband bought a bag of charcoal and started cleaning the grill! I swear he didn't clean it since summer and it really looks terrible, just look at the photo below.

I am just thankful we have a new grill brush that really does it's job. It's made of stainless steel bristles and even came with a basting brush. Isn't it awesome? I actually got the X-Chef barbecue grill cleaner at Amazon.com for free to review.

Now, I am ready in case we need to cook outside! Even the food we needed to grill are ready. Ha! My cousin and her husband's stuck at home too by the way, so we're all set!

How to use a phone armband efficiently

I just thought about ways on how a phone armband can be of great use. Anybody can literally use this, but most especially the following people:
1) Runner - Hey, who wants to run alone on boring roads or places you know nothing about? This has a slot for your earphone cable so you can listen to your favorite songs while jogging. Just make sure not to put in on too loud so you'll be able to here the sounds of beeping cars. You don't want to run into accidents.
2) Gym rats - Like with the runners purpose, you can use this to listen to music to keep you upbeat, or probably talk to your pals while your busy burning fats. Just make sure you focus on your gym equipments first before using your touchscreen because you don't want to fall on your treadmill!
3) Homemakers - Yes. This could  be useful especially when your hands are full and/but you need your phone near you, always. You don't want to miss important calls. And you don't want to misplace your phone after doing a lot of household chores. With this, you can get hold of your phone in an instant. This is also great because I use this while carrying my little one, wiping the table, while talking to my husband over the phone. You can do a lot with your phone within your reach.

I Used This Shower Curtain Liner For A Year

I'd be honest to say that I am posting this review a year late. Imagine how long is that? As a blogger, I feel that I cheated on the company from not delivering what should have been expected of me. I got personal health reasons that stopped me from finishing this review. Anyway, I don't want this issue to forever be in my conscience. LOL! So, I am doing it right now. This is the perfect epitome of 'better late than never'.

You know, I think it's actually a blessing in disguise for me to review it this late. Because that means I have really tested the product, quite too long I suppose. The second thing that pushed me from pursuing this review too is that the brand really deserves to be known.

As I said, it's been a year and this has been the longest shower liner I've used since forever! I guess nothing's going to beat that time frame. I have used the cheapest from Target and they smell, I've tried another eco-friendly brand from Marshalls and it didn't live up to its promises. This shower curtain liner from Amazon have proven its claims:

1. Resits Mold
2. Resists Mildew
3. No Odor
4. No Chlorine
5. No PVC
6. Resists Bacteria

The first (3) items were the only things I can know for sure that's true. I remember when I opened the package and placed it in the bathroom, it's unlike the rest that always have that funky smell. This one has a subtle smell for a few days then it was totally gone!

The first two (2) items are similar. I've never seen a black spot on our liner for a year! I am careful too though with humidity and I always turn on the exhaust in our bathroom so maybe that helped too. I am glad I need not clean it every now and then (Wait, I don't clean liners! I replace them when they're dirty.) And yes, it took a year for the soap suds to accumulate on this one. Imagine how long that is? Even I, myself, can't believe it! LOL! But that's what really happened. Oh well, I think there are really companies who can be that blatantly honest to you.

Have You Heard About The Fogless Shower Mirror?

Have you ever experienced having a foggy mirror right after taking a warm bath? I do, a lot of times actually. Sometimes, I use my clothes to wipe a part of it, but then some dirt starts attaching to it and then I have to clean the whole thing again just so it would look clean. There was a time I didn't wipe it and tried to use it even if it was foggy/smokey but it hurt my eyes. LOL! I'll never do it again.

After that experience, I saw a kind of mirror I never thought existed ~ a fogless shower mirror! Have you ever heard of one? Because I for sure didn't until I learned more about it from Cassani Company. 

Before I discuss what I found out about this fogless mirror, I just wanted you to know that it includes two other things. A nice matte silver stainless steel wall hook and another shaving razor wall mount. They really look great and I bet they're going to look nice in just about any color-themed bathroom. There's really no complicated setup by the way. You just have to put the hook that already have an adhesive tape on it and that's it! You may choose not to put the hook if you plan to use it in other parts of the room. I did place mine in the bathroom because I thought the hook will help a lot especially if the person shaving or doing whatsoever is alone. :) 

Before I was able to actually use it in the bathroom, my mom and husband used it first. I never knew it could be so useful! First, my mom who loves dyeing her hair at home, did have a hard time standing in front of the bathroom mirror just to do it. She went to a spot where she feels more comfortable in doing it! And she did it in the dining area, with our neighbor's yard as a view. LOL. Good thing it didn't fell, she must have placed well in a sturdy and smooth surface. If it fell I don't think it's going to break anyway because the back part of it looks like a plastic/carton material. I can't really explain but it's light and it looks tough, and somehow scratch-free. 

Well, after my mom dyed her hair, I found some a few dye spots on the mirror! I got so scared I thought it's going to stay there forever! But no, I just washed it with warm water (no soap needed) and it went away! Worked like magic! The spots on the white wall and window sill though was stained. Argh! LOL!

Anyway, so it looked like this again after washing. So clear!!! I am not exaggerating but it looks like the clearest mirror I've ever had! Just look at the bright color of my plants and fruits. I can't actually believe it.

Right after it dried, my husband decided to use it while shaving. He liked the fact that he could see clearly and that he can come as close as he likes to the mirror when needed. He said it makes shaving easier.

I use it too, when putting on/off my contact lenses. Being able to come as close as I wanted to the mirror really helps.

And oh, I was able to test it after taking the shower but I guess it took me awhile to get my camera. LOL! It's kind of hard to see the difference with this picture but it worked. :) Proven fogless, tried and tested! You can return if it doesn't work for you. That white mark you see in the smaller mirror (the fogless mirror) is my husband's fingerprint. He tried to hold it so I can take a photo but I guess it was better to take a photo of it there, hanging.

Also, it's very important to remember, they put some kind of coating to the mirror so you shouldn't clean it with anything but plain water. And I guess just to be safe, avoid rough wiping? If there's such a thing. Tee-hee!

Honestly, I think it'll be a perfect gift for dads and guy teenagers, because they'll be able to use it more often when shaving.

Painting Lulu App and Stylus Review

With today's technology, almost every thing is trying to cope with it's advancement. It can even be applied with our kids toys and learning materials. Some parents succumb to the idea while others do not. I, as mother, think it really depends on how useful and how often the product is being used. Like this new kind of coloring material, more specifically an app and stylus - Painting Lulu. I find it actually more useful than not because you can use/color it in two ways, usual (or can I say traditional) and with the use of technology, in my case - iPad (it can also be used with phones). I love the idea of how they are still able to preserve the idea of coloring with real crayons while incorporating or introducing new ways of doing it using gadgets.

Before I start my actual review, I wanted to quote some thing from their website:

Now to focus on the app, here's the easy to follow instructions:

1. Download the free "Painting Lulu" app through the App Store/Google play/Amazon Appstore.

2. Select a page from your "Meet Lulu" coloring book that you have colored, then scan is using the scan feature on your Painting Lulu app.

3. A digital version of the same colored page you scanned will instantly appear, ready to be edited and modified by you. In my case, my daughter didn't want to color the physical book itself because she was too excited to try the app. So ours appeared as it is, untouched. It was like magic when the page showed up in the screen. My daughter was very enthusiastic in coloring it using the crayon stylus that came with the coloring kit.

That's it! Right after scanning, you can easily browse all the pages in the book, which includes 31 fun coloring pages. While on the coloring page, you'll see three buttons - Parents icon, Facebook icon and Printer icon. The parents icon lets you share the image created by your child to be shared with your friends and family via email. The Facebook icon on the other hand, lets you share it with your Facebook friends. And last, the Printer icon which allows you to automatically print the coloring page if you have one installed and connected to your device. 

You can choose from tools like crayon, brush and paint.

Now, let's discuss the other buttons. On the main page, you'll see four buttons - Settings, Music, Camera, Scanner, respectively.
1) Settings
General - You can choose to allow sharing pictures and whether or not you'd want to show the print button in your screen.
Sharing - You can choose to share your child's creation to specific email addresses or via Facebook. I find this really useful because I love showing the whole world how my daughter is very good at coloring (at least for her age).

2. Music - You can choose to toggle music, it's a soothing background music and my daughter actually loves to hear it while she's coloring! It's so funny when I try to turn the music off she always turns it back on. I guess it puts her in the mood.
3. Camera - What I love about this feature is you can literally take a picture of anything, just like the built-in-camera in your gadgets. It allows you to color and decorate it. After taking a picture of this cup, I took a picture of my daughter then we put some tiara, necklace and bracelet on her, including some text which she ask me to write. LOL!

4) Scanner - As discussed above, this scanner allows you to 'convert' the pages in the book to the "Painting Lulu" app. Which as I said awhile ago, works like magic. 

In general, my daughter loved this product. Although there were times it takes too long for it to load the pages, which might be because our iPad's memory is full. LOL. Anyway, I know they have two more books namely "Camping Out" and "At the Beach". I bet it'll be as much fun as this first series which is "Meet Lulu".
